Bread: 4 slice
Milk: 1 cup
Ghee: 1 and 1/2 tbsp
Egg: 1 and 1/2 tbsp
Cardamon powder: 1 teaspoon
For sugar syrup
Sugar: 1 cup
Red food color: 1 pinch
Water: 1 glass


  • Take a sauce pan
  • Then add water, food color and sugar in pan
  • And boil it until it turns into thick syrup
  • In separate bowl crumbled the bread slices
  • Add cardamon powder, ghee, egg and milk in bread
  • Now knead the dough with light hand and leave it for 10 to 15 min
  • Dough should be soft now make little balls from dough
  • Then heat oil in a wok and fry all the balls in oil
  • Fry it until it change the color to dark brown
  • Take out all the balls from oil
  • Then add it into sugar syrup and leave it for 30 minutes
  • All the syrup soak into the balls
  • Now gulab jamun is ready to serve garnish it with almonds and pistachio
